Post-peel neutralizer in spray
400 ml / 13, 52 fl.oz
Post-peel neutralizer in spray, Carboxy neutralizer is an alkaline lotion with sodium bicarbonate that easily sprays onto the face to halt the action of chemical peels. Neutralizing a chemical peel is necessary to stop its action on the skin. If an exfoliation is not neutralized or only rinsed with water, free acids may remain on the skin.
When it comes into contact with free acids, the chemical reaction is instantaneous, and bubbles can be observed on the skin. This reaction enhances skin oxygenation through a carboxy effect.

Neutralizing a chemical peel is necessary to stop its action on the skin. If a peel is not neutralized or is only rinsed with water, free acids may remain on the skin. The reaction between the acid and the skin’s proteins will continue until all the acid is consumed, leading to deeper penetration of the peel into the epidermis over the following hours. This can cause uncontrolled post-exfoliation and skin inflammation. Neutralizing the peel during the procedure ensures that no additional redness or inflammation occurs.
We have developed a carboxy neutralizer containing sodium bicarbonate that can be easily sprayed onto the face to halt the action of chemical peels. When it comes into contact with free acids, the chemical reaction with the sodium bicarbonate is instantaneous, and bubbles can be observed. These bubbles are due to the release of CO2. If no bubbles are seen when applying the neutralizer, it means all the applied acid has already reacted with the skin proteins and no free acid remains.
The release of CO2 benefits the skin, as the body responds by producing intense skin oxygenation known as the “Bohr effect.” When the concentration of CO2 in the skin increases, hemoglobin proteins release their oxygen load, making it bioavailable to the cells.
Due to its alkaline pH, it is essential not to apply too much neutralizer or leave it on the skin for too long, as this could reduce the effectiveness of the peel.
What sets it apart from others neutralizers post-peel?
Shake the Carboxy neutralizer bottle before use. Hold the bottle at a distance of 15 to 20 centimeters from the face. Spray the neutralizer evenly over the treated area where the peel has been applied, covering the eyes. Allow it to act on the skin for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Once the neutralizer has had time to react with the remaining acid, gently remove it from the skin with cold or lukewarm water.
PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY.
Carboxy neutraliser is a water-like lotion with an alkaline pH.
