Vegetal ceramides (Vegetal Ceramides BGG), derived from an optimized rice extract to maximize its content of sphingolipids and phospholipids, are a key ingredient in skincare. Ceramides play an essential role in the structure and quality of the stratum corneum, representing 40% of the intercellular lipid cement. This ingredient controls critical biological functions, such as regulating transepidermal water flow, cohesion of the stratum corneum layers, and skin protection, in addition to contributing to the restoration of the skin barrier. Clinical studies have shown that vegetable ceramides significantly improve skin hydration, with a 53% increase during the study period compared to the placebo. This effect provides immediate and long-lasting hydration, promoting healthier and more resilient skin.
